Dave Callison learned the trade from a friend in his early 30s and never looked back. He always wanted to run his own business – the kind where he controlled his schedule, did work he was proud of, and answered to his customers instead of a corporate chain. OC Clean Sweep was built on exactly that idea and has run the same way for over 25 years.
He’s never taken on subcontractors. He’s never handed a job off to someone else to manage. Every inspection, every cleaning, every repair in South Orange County has been done by Dave himself. That’s a deliberate choice, not a limitation.
The business has run on referrals since day one. Homeowners in Ladera Ranch, San Clemente, Dana Point, Laguna Beach, and across the area pass his number to their neighbors because he tells them straight what their chimney needs – and charges a fair price for the work. That kind of reputation doesn’t survive upselling.
When he’s not on a roof in South OC, Dave is usually somewhere outdoors – surfing, body surfing, hiking, or heading up to Sun Valley with his wife and two daughters to get some time on the mountain. He grew up loving the ocean and still lives close to it. That probably explains why he understands better than most what salt air and coastal moisture do to a chimney over time.

Three Things That Have Never Changed
If your chimney only needs a cleaning, that is what Dave tells you. If something needs repair, he explains what it is and why it matters before touching it. No manufactured problems. No pressure to add work. His repeat business depends on people trusting that what he says is true.
Dave answers the phone, drives to your home, does the inspection, performs the service, and cleans up before he leaves. There is no hand-off point where quality can slip. The person responsible for the outcome is the person doing the job.
Dave shows up when he says he will. Drop cloths go down before anything is touched. The firebox area is cleaner when he leaves than when he arrived. The price he quotes before the work starts is the number on the invoice when he is done.
